NEW RULES UNDER IKC EFFECT 1 JANUARY 2009
1.   EXERCISE/PUPPY PENS
Exercise Pens/puppy pens are prohibited within the confines of the exhibition area, at ALL shows licencsed by the Irish Kennel Club.



Dogs which are not being exhibited at All Breed Championship Shows must be entered as NOT FOR COMPETITION for insurance purposes, prior to close of entries.   Dogs to be entered on a form supplied by the show promoting society giving details of breed/s and name/s of each dog.   The show promoting society will issue a pass or passes to such dogs and keep a record of same.   Production of passes may then be requested in any area of dispute.   The fee for this facility shall be Five Euro per dog.



ALL SHOW PROMOTING SOCIETIES are required to have on site an Incident Book in which any accidents, thefts reported to them or complaints lodged with the Show Secretary, against any person or persons must be recorded.   A copy of which must be submitted to the IKC with the show returns.   The Show Inspector to confirm the presence of an Incident Book with the Show Secretary.




(a) The Show Inspector will bring to the attention of the show promoting society, on the day of the show, any areas that require immediate or urgent attention such as excessively slippery areas due to rainfall, spillages or toilet facilites which require attention etc.   It will be for the show management team to see that these areas are dealt with as quickly as possible and how such problems are to be resolved, however any show society which does not deal with such problems may face a fine or sanction form the Irish Kennel Club Ltd.
(b)   To bring to the attention of the show promoting society any transgressions from Kennel Club procedures during judging such exhibits not receiving grading cards immediately after assessment, exhibits not placed first to fourth, left to right, etc and request that they are corrected immediately by the show management team.
(c)   To bring to the attention of the show promoting society any dogs, such as young puppies, which are not being exhibited at the show and request that the show society investigate the matter,   Should any dog/s not be enter for "competition" or "not for competition" the show society should ask that such dogs be removed from the venue.
